Trip plan

Day 1

Departure in the morning and drive to the Outaouais region. The trip begins with a guided tour of the George Bryson Cultural House, an elegant Georgian-style house listed as a historical monument since February 27, 1980. In the evening, a wonderful walk will take place with your tour guide. In addition, you can enjoy a multimedia show projected on the magnificent Parliament Buildings. This Northern Lights and Sound Show will take you on an unforgettable audiovisual journey through Canadian history. The show highlights the events that have marked the history of the country. The whole thing is presented in a spectacular way, with a moving narration and an original soundtrack. Then it’s time to rest at the hotel.

Day 2

A day in the great outdoors awaits you! It all starts at Eco-Odyssey with an adventure in the water labyrinth, where you will take a unique journey that allows you to learn more about the habitat and environment of the beaver. You will have to observe and identify different elements of the marsh and its environment. Then, direction Val-des-Monts for a guided tour of Caverne Laflèche by speleologists. Its history is strewn with anecdotes and mysteries that will amaze you. For 10 years this cave has been explored in order to discover other passages. Following these adventures, head to the capital of Canada for some free time at the Byward Market. It is one of the oldest farmers’ markets in Canada, where local farmers and artisans can be found offering their products in more than 260 kiosks and more than 600 businesses. To top off this day, relax on a narrated cruise on the Ottawa River. The cruise gives you a spectacular view of the city as seen from the river, which was then a major road and a primary resource. You will also see the natural beauty of the region which captured the imagination of the first European explorer Samuel de Champlain.

Day 3

In the morning, discover the Plaisance Falls, where you will contemplate the most impressive waterfalls in the area: 63 meters of natural drop before the waters of the Petite-Nation river flow into the Outaouais. Then, enter the historic pavilion that recalls the past glory of the village of North Nation Mills. Let Witness Frid tell you the story because it was here that the region’s first industrial village was erected. End your trip with a visit to the magnificent Omega animal park in Montebello. This natural site presents, on 1500 acres, the main animals of America (bison, wolves, bears, white-tailed deer, etc.) living freely in their natural habitat and this throughout the seasons. Well-appointed hiking trails allow you to observe them freely thanks to suspended walkways. At the end of this tour, it will be time to head back home.
