Once in Chicago, enjoy some free time for lunch before going on a discovery walk and seeing the immense garden that is Grant Park, a municipal park dating back to 1844. Within the park, you will be impressed by Buckingham Fountain and the Millenium Park, a park within a park, which is dedicated to art and the new millennium. Next, take a stroll on Navy Pier, the famous pier built between 1914 and 1916 to accommodate Great Lakes ships. Museums, street shows, restaurants and the many shops of Navy Pier follow one another for more than a kilometer along the shores of the gigantic Lake Michigan. Take a ride on the Ferris Wheel, a giant Ferris wheel located on the dock. In the evening, board The Loop, a skytrain that circles Chicago’s business district.
