Trip plan

Day 1

Depart from your school to New York City in the morning and arrive in the late afternoon. Loosen your legs as you stroll down famous 5th Avenue and you make your way to Times Square for dinner. You will quickly understand why NYC is nicknamed “the city that never sleeps” when you see the huge illuminated signs in the Theater District. The streets are animated by all kinds of mascots and costumed characters. After the meal, take out your cellphones and cameras to strike a pose alongside your favorite celebrities at the Madame Tussauds wax museum. The realism of the wax statues is captivating. Embark on the adventure of Skull Island and face off against the terrifying King Kong, or take a seat in the Oval Office and get to know America’s Presidents, past and present. Leave the frenzy of Times Square for a rest at your hotel. Meal included: dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast, make your way to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal to take the free ferry that will take you to the lower portion of Manhattan. You will see the Statue of Liberty on your way. The huge bronze statue has symbolized the freedom of peoples and friendship between France and the USA since 1886. Once in Manhattan, your guide will show you the attractions of the south of the island such as Ground Zero and the One World Trade Center, the tallest tower in the western hemisphere, built in memory of the twin towers. Pass by the Wall Street bull then take the subway back to visit the Chinatown district. End your orientation tour just in time for lunch at the Grand Central Terminal food court. A good walk in Central Park is a good idea after eating. Your guide will show you the locations of several films and the main places of interest in the park. After dinner, unwind with a Broadway musical. Among the sixty shows presenting, you and your students will surely find something to suit you! Return to your hotel at the end of the evening. Meals included: breakfast and dinner.

Day 3

Fill up on energy before continuing your New York adventure, because the Big Apple is far from over blowing your mind. Start the day with a walk on the High Line west of the city. This linear park was built from the recovery of an old elevated railway line. This is the perfect example of a community project promoting sustainable practices. After lunch, it’s aboard your coach that your tour guide will help you navigate the city, showing you Midtown and Uptown. Then walk through the new Empire State Building exhibit which begins on the 2nd level. Climb up the floors following the exhibit with the elevators that will take you to the highest point on the 86th floor, where the main viewing platform is located. After dinner, walk to the first tower of the Brooklyn Bridge. It shows one of the best views of Manhattan. Return to your hotel in the evening. Meals included: breakfast and dinner.

Day 4

Pack your bags, have breakfast and head to the American Museum of Natural History. Take the morning to explore one of the world’s most important scientific and cultural institutions. The exhibits focus on human cultures, the natural world and the universe. The museum has an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils including that of a Tyrannosaurus rex. Students will literally believe themselves in the movie “A Night at the Museum” as they walk through the 45 permanent exhibition halls. Make time for lunch before leaving amazing New York City for your school. You won’t be back yet when everyone will want to go back! Meals included: Breakfast.
