Trip plan

Day 1

Start your student trip with a walk in the Old Quebec with your tour guide. This walk will help you orientate yourself and make you realize why this city is a UNESCO World Heritage gem. After lunch, take a trip to 1759 at the Plains of Abraham Museum to attend the multimedia presentation “Battles” which will awaken your senses with an immersive projection on the Battle of the Plains of Abraham and the Battle of Sainte -Foy. Then see the city from the top of the tallest building in Quebec; the Observatory of the Capital. It offers a striking panorama while an interpretation center allows you to discover the history of the city. Then put on your skates to set off on the city’s most enchanting ice rink, at Place D’Youville, near the magnificent Porte Saint-Jean. You will be right in the heart of the action to participate in the countless activities of the Quebec Winter Carnival before dinner and in the evening. Meal included: dinner.

Day 2

After lunch, your guide will take you for a stroll through Place-Royale and the Quartier Petit-Champlain to admire the frescoes that adorn some buildings and tell the story in an original way. Afterwards, everyone aboard the ferry to admire the grandiose panorama offered by Cap Diamant, Old Quebec, Château Frontenac and Terrasse Dufferin from the St-Laurent River. After dinner, take a guided tour of the Citadelle of Quebec and the Royal 22e Régiment Museum. It is the perfect place to get to know Quebec City’s military past. Afterwards, enjoy the joys of winter at the Carnival and end the afternoon by sliding down the more than a hundred years old slides of the Dufferin Terrace. Attend the legendary Carnival parade in the evening, which has been inspiring young and old for over 65 years! Meals included: breakfast and dinner.

Day 3

In the morning, set off in the comfort of your luxury coach for Côte-de-Beaupré. The first stop on your excursion is at Parc de la Chute Montmorency. After this breath of fresh air, enjoy a moment of contemplation at the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Visit freely the largest place of pilgrimage in Quebec where heritage and spectacular architecture will amaze you. For lunch, discover the authenticity of Quebec at Auberge Baker. To start the afternoon off, why not go to some of the 280 stores in the Galeries de la Capitale? Then, experience Quebec traditions at their best at Érablière le Chemin du Roy. Entertainment, traditional music and a sugar shack style dinner are on the menu, not to mention the famous taffy on snow to end the day in style. Meals included: breakfast and dinner.

Day 4

After a good lunch, head to the Pourvoirie du Lac-Beauport for a dog sled ride. Learn how to team up with your huskies before hitting the snowy trails for a safe ride under the watchful eye of a musher. At the start of the afternoon, let yourself be transported to the heart of the St. Lawrence ecosystems at the Aquarium du Québec. Here you will have the chance to observe nearly 10,000 specimens of fish, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and mammals. Stop by to say hello to the walruses and seals and watch their meal or their training, it’s great fun! This is how your trip to the beautiful Quebec City region ends before you return home.
