Trip plan

Day 1

On your way to Sudbury, stop in Sainte-Marie-au-Pays-des-Hurons for a guided tour of the site or an educational program. Relive the fascinating history of the first European settlement in Ontario on the territory of the Huron-Ouendats. Then continue your journey north to Sudbury. After dinner, participate in an age-appropriate yoga session for your student group. Your group will derive many benefits from this practice both physically and mentally through postures and breathing exercises. Ideal after being on the road and before going to sleep. Meal included: dinner.

Day 2

Start your second day by visiting Science North, Northern Ontario’s most popular attraction. There is a science center, an IMAX® room, a planetarium, a butterfly gallery, a large exhibition hall, and much more! Add a movie for the ultimate experience on a giant screen with a 4K laser projection system delivering the sharpest, brightest and most vivid digital images ever, combined with a whole new level of immersive audio. Hold on to your seats! After lunch, participate in an environmental education program at the Lake Laurentian Conservation Zone. Imagine the tranquility of a secluded area in a wilderness where students can touch a frog, feed the birds, learn forest survival or plant a tree. A wide choice of suitable programs available for all ages. In the evening, go wild at the Kupp Center Laser Tag for a good dose of adrenaline and challenges in a maze with obstacles. Meals included: breakfast and dinner.

Day 3

In the morning, head to the Big Nickel of Dynamic Earth. There you will see the largest coin in the world which symbolizes the wealth Sudbury has brought to the Canadian economy through the production of nickel. At Terre Dynamique, in addition to a hands-on and immersive science center, you’ll find an underground mine to visit, multimedia theaters, captivating exhibits and an open-air science park. Casually, you will learn a lot about mining from the turn of the century to today. Return home after dinner. Meals included: Breakfast.
