Trip plan

Day 1

Leave your school in the direction of Burlington, a city located on the shores of Lake Champlain. On arrival, enjoy one of the many options on Church Street for lunch. Italian and Asian restaurants, sandwich shops, seafood, there is something for everyone! Once you’ve had your fill, visit the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, a science and nature center located on the shores of the lake. This establishment features more than 100 interactive exhibits and 70 species of fish, reptiles and amphibians. Rallies and student programs are available. Then join the crew of the Spirit of Ethan Allen for a narrated cruise on the vast Lake Champlain. You will then have a breathtaking view of the famous Green Mountains and even the Adirondacks of New York State. Then head to Waterbury for dinner and take a tour of the Ben & Jerry factory for dessert. Find out how your favorite frozen delicacies are made. End your day by checking into the Stateside Hotel at Jay Peak Resort, directly across from Jay State Forest. Meal included: dinner.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel restaurant, put on your hiking shoes and follow the guide! A local guide will accompany you in the mountains for a small commented expedition. Your group will learn about the natural and cultural history of the region. This physical activity will certainly whet your appetite, lunch will then be delivered directly to the hotel. Afterward, take a seat in the Jay Peak Cable Car for a round trip to the summit. You will have a panoramic view of Vermont and even Canada. Come back to earth, but not for long, because the Clips & Reels Hotel Recreational Climbing Center awaits! Even the arcade room is available to challenge students. Climbing walls and ropes courses as colorful as they are bursting will make students want to think of themselves as Spiderman or Tarzan! Take a break for dinner, then hit the ice at the Jay Peak Complex arena in the evening. Return to your accommodation for the night. Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3

Enjoy an American breakfast at the hotel and pack your bags. Jay Peak Resort hasn’t said its last word to amaze students! The Pump House Waterpark welcomes you for the day. There is a deep swimming pool with a space to play basketball and a climbing wall from which you can drop into the water, 3 tube slides, a vertical slide, a surf wave, spas and even a heated outdoor swimming pool if weather is permitting. Take a break for a pizza party in a private room before diving back into the water park before your scheduled afternoon departure. After all these adventures, say “See you next time, Vermont!” and take the road back home. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
