Trip plan
Day 1
Departure by luxury coach in the morning and drive to New York City. Several breaks are planned along the way to stretch your legs. Arrived to destination, check in at the hotel and free evening in the New York City jungle.
Day 2
Start your day with a New York City tour by coach, led by a local guide. Nicknamed the “Big Apple”, this city never ceases to amaze with the gigantic size of its skyscrapers, its hectic life and its many famous avenues including Broadway and Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue, and more! Your tour guide will then take you to discover China Town and Little Italy through a walk. After dinner you will again have free time in the city.
Day 3
This morning, take a guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial. This memorial was created in memory of the victims of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade towers, the Pentagon and Shanksville. Then, enjoy some free time for lunch at New York’s Chelsea Market, a former cookie factory converted into a market. It is a covered market, where one takes pleasure in strolling through the various alleys and shops. In the company of your guide, explore the High Line Park, an urban suspended park in Manhattan. A former aerial railway now welcomes walkers in a 2.3 km green oasis, overlooking the trendy neighborhoods of the southwest of the island. This green space was inaugurated in 2009. The vegetation was chosen to pay homage to the wild plants that had colonized the abandoned railway line before it was converted. Finally, end your day with an orientation coach tour “by night” to enjoy the illuminated city.
Day 4
Start the day with the ascent of the Empire State Building. See Manhattan from the top of the 86th floor! Built during the economic depression of the late 1920s, the Empire State Building is the number one attraction and symbol of economic prosperity in New York City. The afternoon is free in Manhattan. For those who wish, meet your guide for a stroll around Turtle Bay to admire the UN Headquarters and surrounding buildings. If time permits, the guide will offer those interested to take the ferry to Ellis Island, where the Immigration Museum is located.
Day 5
In the morning, enjoy a 1-hour cruise. Embark on a fascinating narrated cruise that will take you near the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and many other major points of New York. After dinner, drive back to Quebec.
