Trip plan
Day 1 – Canada → Tunisia
The journey begins with departure from Canada to Tunisia. An overnight flight to North Africa sets the stage for an adventure filled with discovery and change of scenery.
Day 2 – Arrival in Tunis
Arrival at Tunis airport and a first immersion into the Tunisian atmosphere. Hotel check-in and time to rest after the journey before the first dinner on site.
Day 3 – Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and Tunis
Exploration of the ruins of Carthage, witnesses of ancient civilizations overlooking the Mediterranean. Stroll through the blue-and-white village of Sidi Bou Said, followed by a visit to the Bardo Museum and the Medina of Tunis, at the heart of the lively souks.
Day 4 – Cap Bon and journey to Sousse
The day leads to the Cap Bon peninsula, between coastal landscapes and archaeological sites. Visit to the Kerkouane Museum and a hike in Korbous before continuing on to Sousse for the night.
Day 5 – El Djem, Matmata and the Ksar Ghilane Desert
Stop at the impressive Roman amphitheater of El Djem, followed by the discovery of Matmata’s troglodyte homes. At the end of the day, arrival at the oasis of Ksar Ghilane, at the gateway to the Sahara, for an unforgettable night in the desert.
Day 6 – Chenini and Douz
Visit to the Berber village of Chenini, perched on a mountainside. The journey continues to Douz, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” for an evening immersed in the rhythm of southern Tunisia.
Day 7 – Chott El Jerid and the Tozeur Oases
Crossing the spectacular Chott El Jerid, a vast salt flat with ever-changing reflections. Arrival in Tozeur and a 4×4 excursion to discover mountain oases, canyons, and striking desert landscapes.
Day 8 – Sbeitla, Kairouan and return to Sousse
Discovery of the Roman site of Sbeitla, followed by travel to Kairouan, a holy city and jewel of Tunisia’s heritage. Visit to the Great Mosque and historic basins before returning to Sousse.
Day 9 – Sousse – Relaxation Day
A free day dedicated to relaxation by the sea. Beach time, rest, and final moments to enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere.
Day 10 – Tunis → Canada
Transfer to the airport and return flight to Canada. End of a journey rich in discoveries, landscapes, and shared memories.
