Trip plan
Day 1
Morning departure from your region in the morning and drive to the Estrie region. You will be welcomed at Saint-Adolphe de Dudswell Church, where you will spend part of the day. You will experience a recreation of rural life from the 1920s to 1940s by observing the 66 miniature carved wood models. At the Lime Interpretation Center, you will be presented stories about period characters and a heritage tour, as well as a buffet-style lunch from the Auberge in the sacristy. Then, head to Fromagerie Proulx in Saint-Georges de Windsor, a family business for 75 years for a tasting. To continue the day, you will see the Estrie region differently on the back of the giant cow which gives a panorama at 400m which is breathtaking! Finally, the Center for the Interpretation of Rural Life, the French-speaking cradle of the “townships” freed from seigneurial rule in 1849, will plunge you into a distant era! Buffet dinner & drive back.
